Beyoncé reminded us that girls run the world after female artists, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion, and Queen Bey herself, topped the Billboard charts with their newly released singles and currently hold the number 1 and 2 spots.

Billboard announced on Monday that Doja Cat’s Say So remix featuring Nicki Minaj rose to Number 1 on the top 100 chart. This was the first time that Doja Cat or Nicki Minaj received the number one status for the single.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Savage Remix rose to the number 2 spot after Queen Bey graced the song with her presence. Proceeds from the song were allocated to Covid-19 relief efforts in Houston.

To further prove Bey’s claim that girls really do run the world, OnlyFans reported a 15% spike in traffic just 24 hours after the Savage remix was released, where Queen Bey mentions OnlyFans in her verse.

Fans rumored that this is the first time that black women have held the top spots on the Billboard 100, but the statistic has not been confirmed. True or not, it doesn’t get any better than four black women currently sit at the top of the charts.

Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion took to social media to express their excitement and appreciation for their  recognition.

Nicki Minaj responded to a fan on Twitter “Man, I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to be a part of this kind of history. I love al the girls involved. It just feels like an epic moment to witness and be a part of at the same time.”

Megan Thee Stallion also tweeted, “I’m happy to be a part of the history that was made today.”

Thanks for the reminder Queen Bey. It’s safe to say, girls really do run the world.
