Why I Have Lost All Respect For Steven Crowder

Now I’m not going to lie. I used to be an avid watcher of Steven Crowder’s YouTube channel Louder With Crowder. I enjoyed his political commentary and his prank videos on liberal households and a Dove soap campaign.

However, as of late, Crowder has shown his true colors after the election, the Capitol Riots/Insurrection, and after BLM received the Nobel Peace Prize. 

Let’s begin with the fact that he condoned Former–and I do mean former– President Donald Trump’s bragging of sexually harassing women. We all remember the time when it leaked that Trump was bragging and joking to Billy Bush about how he “grabbed women by the pussy”. Steven Crowder went on to say, “That sounds pretty bad, but he also said that they LET HIM grab ‘em by the pussy.” As if it really made a difference. 

In addition, Crowder also explained how unconstitutional it is for people to be forced to wear a mask during a pandemic and supported those that were protesting to open up businesses in the country, even though locking down businesses, staying home when needed, and wearing a mask was proven by the WHO to slow the spread of the virus. Crowder expressed his reluctance in the mask mandates. 

Earlier in the year, Crowder did an experiment where he reenacted the arrest and eventual death of George Floyd at the hands of officer Derek Chauvin. Crowder was not convinced that Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck for about nine minutes was not what killed Floyd. Instead, it was the fentanyl in Floyd’s bloodstream. What Crowder fails to realize is that regardless of how much fentanyl was in Floyd’s bloodstream, the fact that Chauvin was kneeling on his neck most likely cut off blood and airflow to Floyd’s brain. What’s really insulting about this piece Crowder made was that he made light of the situation and even made jokes during the examination of the unseen footage. What’s more insulting is that he brought about George Floyd’s criminal record defaming him like the politically correct woke police that has similarly been doing the same to him and his colleagues, thus proving that Crowder is no better than the woke police that he denounces.

However, the straw that really broke the camel’s back is the fact that he slandered Black Lives Matter protests and rioters that admittedly looted from neighborhoods after someone was killed unlawfully by police, but was supportive of people that caused a riot and insurrection at The Capitol on January 6th because they assumed, wrongfully, that the 2020 election was stolen from them. It wasn’t because one of their own was killed by police. It was because they were upset or triggered by the election results. 

In short, don’t let people like Steven Crowder program you into believing bullshit that only tries to make conservatives look good. The only way we can be truly progressive is if we hold everyone accountable and identify the true victim while identifying the true suspect.
