Wizards Break Two Game Skid and Get First Summer League Win
Corey Kispert has a breakout game and the Wizards finally get a win in the NBA Summer League
The Washington Wizards got their first win in the NBA Sumer League against the Milwaukee Bucks 93-83. Corey Kispert broke his shooting slump and scored 18 points on 7-12 shooting, including 4-7 from deep.
During the first two games, 15th overall pick Kispert shot a dismally 23%, but this game showcased why he was chosen in the first round. Kispert wasn’t the only one contributing though as, Caleb Homesley scored 15 points while Jamie Echenique had 13 points. Echenique left the game early in the third quarter after rolling his ankle.
The Bucks were led by Mamadi Diakite and Jordan Nwora, both of whom put up 18 points.
Washington now is 1-2 and will face off against the Indiana Pacers this Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET on NBA TV.
