The Blazers Center Suffered A Gruesome Leg Injury
Blazers 5th year center Jusuf Nurkić suffered a gruesome leg injury against the Brooklyn Nets. The 23-year-old was going for a rebound in double OT and came down awkwardly and snapped his leg back.
The crowd’s groaning reaction could be heard and the players on the court were quick to turn away. Nurkić was carted off on a stretcher after the medical staff put his leg in a full cast.
For the season he averaged a career-high 15.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. Before the injury, Nurkić scored 32 points and had 16 rebounds.
This is a huge loss for the Blazers as we approach the NBA Playoffs. Blazers went on to defeat the Nets 148-144. They move to 46-27 on the season and currently sit at the 4th seed in the Western Conference.
We pray that Nurkić recovers from this injury quickly and comes back stronger when he returns.
