With Darren Collison retired and Ricky Rubio reportedly heading to Phoenix, the Pacers will shift gears to a younger option at point guard. Multiple reports, including from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, have Milwaukee signing and trading 26-year-old combo guard Malcolm Brogdon to the Pacers in exchange for a future first-round pick and two second-round picks.
Brogdon shattered any expectations set for him as a former second-round pick, winning 2016-17 Kia Rookie of the Year honors while becoming an essential part of Milwaukee’s backcourt rotation. Brogdon averaged 13.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists during the 2019 NBA playoffs as the Bucks reached the Eastern Conference finals.
