Tae is a very talented aspiring recording artist from Prince Georges County, Maryland. Frequenting neighborhoods like “103 Merk city”, “Forest Creek”, & Temple Hills. Just like other kids his age, he enjoyed sports as a youngin’, but he also took a particular liking to money & “taking the red pill”. Through his trials and tribulations, he engaged in the street life, aspiring to be like the older guys in his neighborhood. He now takes these experiences & knowledge, & with great wit, turns them into a melodic & vivid illustration of what’s it like to be from “Murland”.
One of his main goals is to spread the philosophy of his brand (True Wealth Org), that knowledge is power. He strives to leave a legacy of greatness & prolificacy.
Can you tell us about your latest project and talk about the inspiration and meaning behind it?
My latest project is entitled “Finesse World 2”, its a sequel to the first Finesse World. It’s inspiration came from the emergence of scams & the current condition of the world.
Think about someone or something that may have inspired you to make music. Who was or what was it?
I can accredit my inspiration for making music to the fact that I don’t like the music that is popular now days.
What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next 5 to 10 years?
Within the next 5-10 years, I want to take my True Wealth brand to the next level, & give back to my community.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
My music now is very melodic. I make sure to include DMV slang & culture. Address real life situations
What is your creative process like?
Sometimes I freestyle, sometimes I write. But when I freestyle, I do it line by line. Like Eazy E in Straight Outta Compton movie.
Take us on a journey back to the first song you have ever written. How was that experience?
Can’t remember the first song I ever wrote, but I would imagine it was very satisfying. Probably was a couple words misspelled . I always liked reading & language arts.
Tell us about the new/previous release “Finesse World 2”?
My latest release Finesse World 2 is just how I felt at the time of recording it. I went down Atlanta and got the opportunity to work with Chief Keef lil cousin, Matti Baybee. I just wanted to make music with meaning behind it.
What challenges have you encountered since being a music artist and how have you overcome them?
1 of the main challenges I’ve encountered as a recording artist is the people that you have to work with (i.e bloggers, videographers, audio engineers). The challenge could never be overcome, but I definitely limit who I work with. I let them know how I do business, & if they don’t like it , on to the next.
Which qualities do you think make a great musician?
What I think makes a great musician is love of the craft, you have to always look for ways to improve/innovate. Also the artist has to be able to keep up with the times, talk about current events. Great musicians need something unique about them, they need something that sets them apart from all the others.
Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a musician.
My favorite part about being an artist is probably the recording process. I vent to the mic, & I have a lot of fun in there. It’s when I have the most time to genuinely be myself. My least favorite part is dealing with janky “business men” in this industry.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
The best advice given to me was probably given to me by my cousin Clip Gone Keep Us Rockin. He says “when you make something you feel like is a hit, you don’t dwell on it too long, gotta get back at it & make another 1.” This is work ethic
What’s next for you?
What’s next for me is more in depth music videos, more positive music, & more releases from my clothing brand True Wealth Org.
