Local artist Veli of T.M.R Records shares his new EP entitled ‘This1 4U.‘ The 5 song EP contains features from Kxng D, Alwyz Trntt & Big Blizzo. We also had the opportunity to check up with Veli for a one on one about his project and his views on the music industry in full perspective. Stream ‘This1 4U‘ below the Q&A.

Q – What first got you into music?

A – Being in a household where all my relatives listened to a lot of music and sang in groups etc.

Q – Who inspired you to make music?

A – Tupac

Q – How would you describe the music that you typically create?

A – Vibes

Q – What is your creative process like?

A – I like to write so I can write a song anywhere I also like to know what I’m doing with the song or direction of it before I hit the studio.

Q – Who would you most like to collaborate with?

A – Travis Scott

Q – If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

A – Lil Wayne

Q – Where have you performed?

A – Bliss Nightclub, Stadium, Power Nightclub, On The Rocks, and A few more clubs out DC, I forgot the name of them. 

Q – What is one message you would give to your fans?

A – Belief in your self. And trust your process. Never cheat the game. WORK HARD the results will come.

Q – What is the most useless talent you have?

A – None!

Q – What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

A – Athlete NFL/NBA

Q – How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

A – I think the internet has been good for music more artist exposure. 

Q – Which famous musicians do you admire?

A – Drake

Q – What is the best advice you’ve been given?

A – Invest in yourself!
