According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, four individuals were trapped after a tree fell on a house in Annapolis late Monday.

Just before 10:00 p.m., fire officials got reports of a tree falling into a single-family home in Annapolis’ 800 Block of Holly Drive West.

Lieutenant Michael Mayo, who was present at the scene of the fatal event, stated that fire officials got several reports from both neighbors and individuals within the property.

According to a fire official, at least two casualties had been recovered by 10:30 p.m., and first responders were actively working to save the remaining victims.

One individual died as a consequence of the fallen tree, according to fire officials, shortly before 11:30 p.m. Another adult, a lady, was sent to Shock Trauma with potentially life-threatening injuries.

At least one of the children that were rescued sustained minor injuries.

Crews said they planned to stay in the area overnight.
