Rising ATL crooner Big Havi wrestles with personal pain in “Narcotix” video
Rising ATL crooner Big Havi releases a new visual for “Narcotix,” one of the tracks from his breakout E.P., Personal Problems. On “Narcotix,” Havi talks about his personal experience with popping pills and the caution he demonstrates while going through the industry that tends to normalize these vices. In one of the verses, Big Havi states, “There was a time when I was popping pills a little bit; I’d tweak out on my mom. It was tragic.” This verse explains what Havi was encountering while battling his addiction to pills. In the visual, shot by Qasquiat, Havi aims to stay away from these temptations, while staying confidently in his lane.
The Atlanta native has been applying pressure, and it seems like he is just getting started. Big Havi spent most of his time in February opening up for Lil TJay’s “True To Myself” tour, which just ended earlier this month. While on the trip, he dropped his debut E.P., Personal Problems, that features his most famous hit, “9 Times Out of 10 (feat. Lil Baby).” The two teamed up together and created a banger that most of their fans can relate to, like me. One bar from Big Havi said that stuck out to me was: “First ones to switch up the ones you call friends.” Growing friends tend to change and not be around as much, but nine times out of 10, the loyal friends always seem to stay. Havi’s success comes after signing with independent powerhouse Commission Records (MadeinTYO, Lil Dicky, Derez De’ Shon, Casey Veggies, IDK) and not to mention the cosigns of ATL icon T.I. and Lil Baby.
Throughout the video and authentic lyrics, you can take the meaning of the message Big Havi is exemplifying in “Narcotix.”
