Three things we don’t know about you?

I’m a 23 year old Nigerian-American artist. I was partially raised in the Flatbush and Brownsville section of Brooklyn, NY before finally relocating back to Maryland at the age of 16. I am currently chasing after a degree in Business Administration at Morgan State University.

Define you in five words

Driven, Passionate, Outspoken, Goofy, Caring.

Favorite pre-studio traditions?

Reciting my lyrics so I do not have to experience too many punch ins, do-over’s, and what not. I am very big on preparation when it comes to recording music so I do not have to take more than an hour and a half on a song.

Top five biggest musical influences? Define the music industry

I would have to say my top 5 biggest music influences are Notorious BIG, Jay-Z, J.Cole, Tribe Called Quest, and Old Kanye lol. These are who I truly grew up listening to. The music industry as far as creativity has emerged tremendously. There’s different artist out there with creative content that are being loved each day by audiences. However, It would be wrong if I didn’t address the fact that the majority of the music that is being released today is detrimental to our youth who will be leading the future. For instance, the guns, drugs, violent talks within a lot of these artist lyrical schemes are having these kids thinking it’s cool to get a gun and shoot. We don’t even fight no more lol we just get guns to prove how “tough” we are. All of that “oh raise your kids right and probably they’ll experience something different” is bullshit. I’m not sure if some people who are in the music industry truly know how much of an influence music can be on the youth as well as the world itself self. This is very powerful.

Artists and media personalities you like to work with more?

From the DMV to be exact, I would like to work with almost everybody whether if it’s a Logic, Chaz French, Q Da Fool, Baby Ahk, Lil Nei, etc. However, if that ever happens, I know that I can’t approach those particular songs the same way as they do because I have a different story to tell. On the other hand, one media personality I would want to work with outside of this area is DJ Vlad.

Any Shout outs?

S/O to Allah, first and foremost. My mother, for beating some sense into me when I were young, My older Brother aka Brooklyn, Bro Gang, and last not but least, the Ahk Boy Entertainment Brand that I’m a part of.

Name ten artists you want to work with

Ten artist I would like to work with, not in order, are Smino, Nick Grant, Casey Veggies, Dizzy Wright, J Cole, Cozz, Lute, Femdot, Mick Jenkins, and Isaiah Rashad
