Niq! Give us a background about you

• Born and raised in VA! Moved to Stafford in 4th grade from Woodbridge. Always mainly just had a passion for music, whether it was making it in the beginning or watching and helping others make it now.

Three unique facts about you?

• Despite my love for editing photos and creating digital art, I can’t draw at all. Im really not a concert person. Andddd i was actually born without a thyroid. It’s a gland in your neck that controls weight/growth and I’m rare and don’t have one at all.

Describe yourself in five words.

• This always gets pretentious lmao. I’d say I’m kind, maybe narcisstic in a way, i get controlling, creative, and careful.

Describe Virginia for me. I know your love for it.

• I’d say it’s more of a love/hate. But of course i love it. We have tendencies to forget we’re all in this giant state together so some of us get opportunities and certain looks and the rest of us act like we deserve it over them BUT when it comes down to it, there’s a lot of love here, all throughout. 757 has got it going on right now. Richmond has great unity and NoVa has definitively got talent.

What made you start media?

• I started doing the podcast stuff just to have conversations with people. I was kinda already having the types of convos i was having with people but i turned into something people could enjoy, not just me.  As far as the blogging/magazine stuff, i kinda got into that stuff by accident. Was writing for a couple different blogs and before you know it i was meeting all these writers and wanted to start something for creatives to have an outlet

What made you fall in love with media?

• I guess it’s just the joy of seeing people’s dreams sorta fall into place. Back to the narcisstic ways where one day someone gets a write up in Lovelace and the next day they’re winning a Grammy and shouting me out because of it. That would be dope!

Your show is great! Tell everybody what your show is and what it’s about.

• My new podcast bohrdom. consists of me and my two friends from high school, Con and Bogans. Con for those who aren’t familiar, ConFromThe703, up and coming Rapper from Woodbridge, i manage him as well I’ve known the guy for 10 years. Incredible talent. Bogans is my business partner when it comes to Lovelace Media. We’ve all been friends since high school and back when i started my old show, The Niq Bohr Show, in a weird way this was the original idea; the three of us were gonna do album reviews because we would go to dinner or something and already do that basically. But life happens, people do things, i ended up interviewing artists on TNBS, and then when that ended we decided to try this! And it’s a lot of fun. Those guys are great.

Pre and post show traditions?

• Yeah we record at like 10 in the morning so my preshow tradition is to sleep! They come over and we record, and post show most of the time we’ll talk some business while we’re all three in the room, then maybe me and Con will head to a studio session or what have you. It varies. But sleep is the main one!!

Any influences?

• Oh man. Joe Budden became a HUGE influence for me in the last year. I studied the way he would debate/Argue as well as the way he would tell a story. Early influences were Peter Rosenberg, Charlemagne Tha God, Ebro, Snoop Dogg on GGN, Lorne Michaels for his executive ways, same with Yams. Robin Williams is number one for me though. Greatest comedian of all time in my opinion. As well as recently I’ve been getting into GaryVee. Watch him on YouTube.

Besides your podcast, what are your other brands?

• So Lovelace Media is my brand. Everything i do is Lovelace Media. So that encloses bohrdom., Lovelace Magazine. Bogans has started a video game streaming channel called GGBro so we teamed up on that. I manage every artist on 9thNimbus Records. As well as a couple of the guys over at PHRXHVZION Records. Aside from Lovelace, i did just become the Digital Content Director up at OneLoveMassive. They’re doing great things up there. Im sure I’m missing something.. and DEFINITLY more to come!

What’s your overall vision for your brands in the next five years?

• I really want Lovelace Media to be the epicenter of things that happen. I would love to be the central hub of artists and creatives going outside of their box and creating something new. That’s really the whole idea. A lot of artists tend to stick to one hat and wear that out, I’d much rather see an artist do a million different things.

Artists and media personalities you want to work with?

• Really looking forward to seeing all my artists release this year. That is the plan, of course. 2018 should be a huge year for 9thNimbus and RXH. I’m really really hoping i work closely with Abigail Furr this year. Just a natural talent and just so good. So good. If you don’t know who she is, you will. I get these hunches about people sometimes and she’s got something.
