A year after releasing his last studio album “Born 2 Rap“, Compton’s very own The Game is back with a debut new single “A.I. With The Braids” featuring Lil Wayne. The hard-hitting single, produced by The Mike Zombie, pays homage to legendary NBA All-Star Allen Iverson.
“A.I. with the braids is almost single-handedly responsible for most if not all trends you see in hip hop & professional sports these days…” The Game says of his inspiration. “Every kid including myself wanted to be Allen Iverson, from the baggy jerseys with the diamond chains to the designs in his braids & whole swagger. Girls were in love with him & he was pound for pound the best player in the NBA. A.I. went from being my idol as a kid to being my brother in real life, so it’s only right I pay homage.”
On the track, The Game makes reference to his former G-Unit 50 Cent. Back in 2016, the two rappers supposedly dropped their beef after running to one another at the club. “They wanna know what I whispered in 50’s ear / G-Unit, motherfu**er, the real Ghost is here,” raps Game.
Upon the release of his last album “Born 2 Rap“, The Game stated that this would be his final one. Now that he has dropped “A.I. With The Braids”, I do not think the Compton Rapping is
not done with rap music just yet.
