Ikemefula James Uhegwu, Cashroute Snapz was born Sept. 26, 1990. When he was 13, he started his own music so by the age of 19, he had started recording in the studio. Growing up listening to Cash Money, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, UGK, 8Ball MJG, and other southern rapper. Lil Wane & Young Dolph are his favorite out of all the southern rappers, Cashroute Snapz mentioned he listen to DMV artist as well like Shy Glizzy, Lightshow, Fat Trel & Sluttyboyz, RDC Ent and more. Tell us about your recent release:

Cashroute Snapz – I dropped new album “Mind Of Snapz 4” a “15” track album with a couple features produced by Chedda Banger, Hollywood Banger, Chase Ran It Up and more featured Young Free Bandz artist One Kay and Ferdy Ferd. Available on all digital platforms

Who inspired you to make music?

Cashroute Snapz – Lil Wayne and Three Six Mafia and Project Pat inspired me to make music.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Cashroute Snapz – My music is basically trap and southern music like a mix of Atlanta and Memphis sounds.

What is your creative process like?

Cashroute Snapz – I write my hook first then after I start writing my verses and everything starts with a vibe.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Cashroute Snapz – I would like to collaborate with Young Dolph

What is one message you would give to your fans?

Cashroute Snapz – Chase your dreams

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Cashroute Snapz – I would probably be in a car shop fixing cars doing mechanic work.

How would you say Social Media has impacted your music career?

Cashroute Snapz – Social media like twitter and instagram help me promote my music and brand as an artist build a fanbase too as well it’s way easier now compared to the 90’s.

Cashroute Snapz – Stealing & possession of marijuana

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Cashroute Snapz – Stay focus, keep circle small, mind your business and always trust God.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Cashroute Snapz – I would like A&R’s to focus more on the talent and potential of an artist instead of just the fanbase cuz I feel there is a lot of artist with big fanbase but not enough talent so they don’t make quality hip hop music.

What’s next for you?

Cashroute Snapz – Im working on a new project called “301 Baby” and I’m just goin to drop singles and stay consistent promoting my music online and building my fanbase and perfecting my craft as an a artist.
