A woman has fallen from a building in the Northwest, culprit has been apprehended
After a domestic quarrel, authorities say a lady fell at least seven stories from a building in Northwest Thursday evening.
A suspect has been apprehended after police say he returned to the scene “distraught.”
The Metropolitan Police Department issued a critical missing child notice for 1-year-old Kylee Palmer, who is thought to be related to the suspect and the woman who fell, after investigating the event.
The child was later discovered with a family member.
Duncan Bedlion, Commander of the Second District, stated the woman who fell out of the window was bound by “some form of rope knotted around her legs” during a press conference at the scene.
The 911 call came in at 7:06 p.m., Commander Bedlion said, after the woman collapsed in the 4500 block of Connecticut Ave NW.
According to Bedlion, the woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, and a handgun was discovered in the flat.
The woman is currently conscious and breathing, according to MPD. The event is being investigated by the police.
