Man Charged In 2023 Langley Park Murder After Gun Linked To Crime
Rudy Lopez Garcia, 33, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder in connection to a 2023 fatal shooting in Langley Park, according to Prince George’s County Police.
On June 10, 2023, officers responded to a shooting at an apartment on the 8100 block of 14th Avenue, where they found 22-year-old Aristides Flores Rosales dead from gunshot wounds. A second man was also shot but survived.
In August 2024, Lopez Garcia was arrested in an unrelated shooting. During the investigation, two firearms were recovered from his home—one of which was later linked to Rosales’ murder. Police believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute, although the two men did not know each other.
