DC Police investigating two fatal shootings that occured on Saturday

Police are looking into two fatal shootings that occurred in the District on Saturday.

The first occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on Raum Street in Northeast’s Trinidad area.

According to police, 26-year-old John Jones of Temple Hills, Maryland, was found dead in his automobile. He appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.

D.C. police say they responded to the area of Southern Avenue SE about seven hours later. They discovered a man outside with gunshot wounds.

He died at the site as well.

Police are still investigating the two separate incidents and have no suspects at this time.
