First 3 positive coronavirus cases confirmed in Maryland

The first three positive cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Governor Larry Hogan tweeted Thursday the state’s Public Health Laboratory in Baltimore stated the patients contracted the virus while traveling overseas. The governor said the patients are in good condition.

“We have been actively preparing for this situation over the last several weeks across all level of government. I encourage all Marylanders not to panic, but to take this seriously and to stay informed as we continue to provide updates,” – Hogan tweeted

A press conference will be held tonight at 8 p.m. at the statehouse in Annapolis.
