One might wonder, why come out of retirement again? Easy money. In 2015 when these two fought, 4.6 million pay-per-view buys happened. It became the best selling fight of all time. According to ESPN Mayweather gained $220 million and Pacquiao earned $142 million.

The last fight Mayweather had was against UFC fighter Connor McGregor in 2017. Since then he has been working on other business ventures and expanding his empire. A current project features building the tallest skyscraper in New York City named One Vanderbilt.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, has continued fighting. He has fought a total of four times, going 3-1. His opponents were Timothy Bradley, Jessie Vargas, Lucas Matthysse and Jeff Horn.
