Keeping Hopes Alive Brings Cheer with Their 3rd Annual Holiday Drive

  • PublishedJanuary 8, 2025
Baltimore was alive with joy and generosity during the 3rd Annual Keeping Hopes Alive. This event is dedicated to uplifting the community during the holiday season, becoming a beacon of hope and compassion for residents.

Held in the heart of Baltimore, the Holiday Drive featured an array of giveaways. These included coats, toys , gift cards to ease financial burdens, food to bring families together, and brand-new Under Armour sneakers to put a spring in everyone’s step. Alongside these incredible giveaways, attendees enjoyed engaging activities, fostering a spirit of unity and celebration.

The event was made possible through the unwavering support of community-focused partners including DTLR, GTD CARES, Helping Her Inc., and Whip Lashed. Together, these organizations worked hand-in-hand with KHA to make the Holiday Drive a day filled with love, support, and cheer.
“For us, it’s about more than just the holidays,” said  Karahn Alston from Keeping Hopes Alive. “It’s about showing the community that we’re here for them, that they matter, and that their hopes are worth keeping alive.”

Overall, this year’s Holiday Drive was a resounding success. Many families left the event with tangible gifts, renewed hope, and a sense of belonging. As the organization looks ahead to future holiday drives, its mission remains clear: To empower individuals and families by fostering self-discovery, building value, and providing a safe, supportive space to overcome mental health challenges.
