Almost a month after releasing a music video for “Addy Talk”, Lil Gotit is back again with the new visuals for “Slime Hood” featuring Simelife Shawty.
In the music video, Lil Gotit is sipping on Hennessy as he and Slimelife Shawty walks into the ops’ and makes themselves comfortable in his home. Gotit is keeping lookout while Slimelife Shawty and the rest of the gang invade the house and fill their backpack with their enemies’ belongings, including the TV. Everything seems to be going well until Gotit sees the police heading their way.
The two and a half minute song features a steady, mid-tempo trap beat produced by London On Da Track. Equip with crisp bass drums and harmonized chipmunk vocals, the instrumental set the perfect stage melodious verses from Lil Gotit. A verse that stuck out to me was, “Got it gon’ let it shoot, yeah, he gon’ blast off / And I’m with hood babies, they crazy, got they mask off.”
“Slime Hood” comes from Lil Gotit’s latest project, Superstar Creature, under Alamo Records/Interscope. The project feature 12 tracks, which all were executive produced by London On Da Track, making this Gotit’s most cohesive project yet-to-date. Gotit is a natural fit for London’s swinging trap music, his atypical flow, and contagious ad-libs merging with the sounds from the acoustic guitars and sweeping pianos. Aside from “Slime Hood”, one of my other favorite tracks from the project his “Bet Up”, which reached about 800K views within two weeks.
