Update: A Police investigation revealed that the car accident that took the life of Little Women: Atlanta Star, Ms. Minnie, was not a hit-and-run, as previously reported.

Ashley Ross, Little Women: Atlanta star, known to fans as “Ms. Minnie,” has died at the age of 34 as a result of a head-on collision Monday evening, authorities confirmed.

“The initial crash investigation shows that Ms. Ross was traveling south in a Nissan Sentra on Old National Highway,” South Fulton, Georgia police said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Her car hit the right-side curb, crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a Ford Focus that was traveling north head-on.

Ross was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, where she later died as a result of her injuries. The other driver involved suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene of the accident.

Ms. Minnie has appeared on Lifetime’s Little Women: Atlanta since the January 2016 season premiere. She has been a regular on the show for the first five seasons, with the fifth season-ending July 2019. Season 6 is expected to air sometime in 2020. Ms. Minnie will be a part of the main cast for one more season when the show returns, as the sixth season was close to being completed filmed at the time of her death.

Cast members took to social media to mourn the star’s tragic death and offer their condolences.

Tonya Renee Banks, one of Ms. Minnie’s fellow Little Women: Atlanta castmates posted a picture of her and Ms. Minnie to Instagram with the caption, “Ms. Minnie, you will be missed. RIH (Rest in Heaven) girlie. My condolences to her friends and family.”

Fans, friends, and other celebrities took to social to express their sadness and condolences with comments like, “Rest up baby girl. My heart is so hurt”, “Just speechless…rest well beautiful,” and “I love you, little sis. You will forever live through me. #LongLiveMinnie”.
