Mother Found Dead in Prince William County Home, Body Discovered in Trash Truck
A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a mother in Woodbridge. Identified as 28-year-old Brendon Devon White of Woodbridge, the suspect was apprehended after officers responded to a residence in the 12200 block of Stevenson Ct in Woodbridge on March 21 at approximately 8:49 p.m.
This response was prompted by concerns from family members over the welfare of the victim, identified as 30-year-old Taty’ana Zakiyyah of Woodbridge, who had failed to pick up her child from daycare. Authorities discovered that Zakiyyah’s vehicle was being driven by an acquaintance, later identified as the accused, White, in Newport News City, located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Additionally, the victim’s personal belongings were found inside her Woodbridge residence.
Further investigation led detectives to stop and secure a trash collection truck where the victim’s body was subsequently located. It was determined that White was involved in the victim’s death.
