The Millennium Tour Brings Early 2000s Nostalgia To The DMV.

The Millennium Tour made waves in the DMV, lighting up the Eagle Bank Arena and CFG Bank Arena over the weekend. It was a nostalgic trip down memory lane, transporting fans back to the days of flip phones, foggy memories, and when a carton of eggs cost just $1.03 in the early 2000s. With a star-studded lineup that included Trey Songz, Omarion, Bow Wow, Plies, Boosie, Ying Yang Twins, Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, Pleasure P, and even Nivea kicking off the show with an electrifying performance, the night was a non-stop hit fest.

There was barely a moment to catch your breath as artists took the stage one after another, with no stage changes or prolonged DJ breaks to interrupt the flow. The surprise highlight came when Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, and Pleasure P united to form the group “RSVP.” Their chemistry was undeniable, each artist seamlessly supporting the others as they brought those classic R&B vibes back to life.

For the crowd that came to party, the Ying Yang Twins, Plies, Rick Ross, and Boosie delivered anthems like “Salt Shaker,” “Shawty,” “Wipe Me Down,” and “Hustle,” igniting the arena with energy that sent everyone into a frenzy.

The veterans Bow Wow and Omarion, both products of the iconic Scream Tour, performing timeless hits like “Ice Box,” “O,” “Post To Be,” “Like You,” “Let Me Hold You,” and “Outta My System.” Neither artist has lost their touch, and their performances were a testament to their lasting appeal.

Trey Songz closed out the night on a high note, making it clear he was there to represent his home state of Virginia. With his signature straight-back cornrows, he had the ladies singing at the top of their lungs. The grand finale came when he took off his shirt and tossed it into the crowd, leaving fans exhilarated as the night came to a close.

The next stop on this exhilarating tour will be at the Barclays Center in New York, and The DMV Daily highly recommends catching this unforgettable show!
