The Washington Redskins snapped a four-game losing streak following a 19-16 win over the Detroit Lions. This is the first home win of the season for the Redskins.

It was not a good offensive day for either team as of the 35 points scored, 28 came from special teams and 21 from made field goals.

The Redskins lone touchdown in the game came off a 91-yard kick off return in the second quarter while the Lions touchdown came from a 12-yard pass touchdown from Jeff Driskel to Logan Thomas.

Dwayne Haskins finished the game on 13/29 passing for 156 yard with no touchdowns and an interception. Redskins rookie receiver Terry McLaurin caught five passes for 72 yards.

The defense for the Redskins played well getting six sacks, six tackles for loss and three interceptions. Two of the three interceptions for Washington came from third-year cornerback Fabian Moreau.

Next week, the Redskins will be on the road to face the Carolina Panthers. They will look to win consecutive games for the first time since October 14-28 last season when they won three straight games spanning weeks 6-8.
