Woman Charged In Crash That Killed Khyree Jackson & 2 Friends

A woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly crash that killed an NFL player and two of his friends in Prince George’s County last year. Cori Imani Clingman, 23, has been charged with 13 counts, including manslaughter and driving under the influence, for her role in the fatal crash on July 2024. The crash claimed the lives of 23-year-old Isaiah Hazel, 24-year-old Anthony Lytton, Jr., and 24-year-old Khyree Jackson—three men who had played football together at Wise High School.

The crash occurred around 3:15 a.m. on northbound Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue near Presidential Pkwy, just north of Dower House Road in Upper Marlboro. Maryland State troopers arrived at the scene to find a three-car wreckage.

According to authorities, Clingman was driving a silver Infiniti Q50 at a high rate of speed when she attempted to change lanes, striking a maroon Dodge Charger and then a silver Chevrolet Impala. The Charger veered off the road and hit multiple tree stumps before coming to a stop. Clingman had two passengers in her vehicle, but no one in her car was injured. The driver of the Impala was also uninjured and declined medical treatment at the scene.

Hazel, who was driving the Charger, was pronounced dead at the scene, along with front-seat passenger Jackson. Lytton, who was seated in the rear, was transported to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center but was later pronounced dead.

Clingman remains in jail without bond. State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy announced the indictment on Thursday, confirming the charges against Clingman, whose reckless driving and alcohol consumption contributed to the tragic loss of three young lives.
