Shooting Erupts on M Street; Leaving Multiple Men Injured in Shooting
Police officers from the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department swiftly responded to a shooting incident on M Street Northeast, where a car had been struck by multiple bullets. Upon arrival, officers conducted a thorough search of the vehicle, gathering evidence pertinent to their investigation. Additionally, they diligently sought surveillance footage that could aid in identifying the perpetrator(s) responsible for the shooting.
The call reporting the shooting was received by the Metropolitan Police Department shortly after 5:00 p.m., prompting an immediate response from law enforcement. One of the individuals who sustained gunshot wounds sought medical assistance at a local hospital, while officers discovered the other individual, described as “conscious and breathing,” in close proximity to the crime scene.
Residents of nearby high-rise apartments recounted hearing multiple gunshots, underscoring the alarming nature of the incident and its impact on the surrounding community.
