YBS Skola Releases New Single “Don’t Look Surprised”

YBS Skola Releases New Single “Don’t Look Surprised”
  • PublishedMay 15, 2020

YBS Skola is showing his fans exactly why he is the top shinner after releasing the visuals to “Don’t Look Surprised.” The Baltimore native was just recently released from prison after doing time for drugs and gun possession charges. Despite everything he went through, YBS Skola remains humbled and never lost his focus on his grind.

The first two bars only explains how he is coming all 2020. “A lot of people let me down, but it was nothing major/I just came home from doing time ready to get to this paper” Although a few people have failed him, Skola still kept his head up high and made sure he was not going to let his fans down. He is feeling good, living better, and is ready to pick up from where he left off, which is on top. The top shinner himself is making it known that he is back, applying pressure, and can care less about what a hater has to say about him.

In the video, you can see clips of him leaving the jail and coming home to his son as he jumps on him, then proceeds to do their handshake. You can already tell that it was a very happy moment for both of them. In the song, Skola makes consistent references to his fans, supporters, and everyone that held him down while he was serving him time. When you listen to “Don’t Look Surprised,” you can feel more than his pain throughout the song. YBS Skola is expressing how he felt and how he is moving from here on out. Especially, after dropping a banger right after being released from prison, I can’t wait to hear YBS Skola what has coming next for his fans, stay tuned!
