Tell us about your recent release:

The DMV Daily – Who inspired you to get into writing?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – My surroundings and environment brought me to writing, hearing all those great stories growing up as a kid in Maryland really set the tone for me.
The DMV Daily – How would you describe the experience of writing a book?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – Writing a book is invigorating and can be life-changing, especially the journey it takes to bring the novel to completion.
The DMV Daily – We know it’s always a creative process with being an author, could you tell the people what’s your process like as a creator?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – I clear my mind completely, which allows the creativity and the story you’re trying to project to flow easier.
The DMV Daily – How would you say Social Media has impacted your development?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – I believe social media has a very positive impact on me as well as other authors and artists. The way social media is so open now it allows you to reach your audience directly, minus the red tape and middle man. Also, I feel it gives the audience a more personal look at us artists.
The DMV Daily – Which famous author(s) do you admire?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – Alice Dunbar- Nelson is one of my favorites, wife of DC’s own Paul Laurence Dunbar. Her poetry is simply outstanding and very forward for its time.
The DMV Daily – What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – Never give up and never let the word “No” stop you from pursuing your passions and finding your “Yes”.
The DMV Daily – If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – Now that I think about it, I wouldn’t change anything about myself. God put me here just the way he intended.
The DMV Daily – Dope! So, what’s next for you?
Taree Douglas-Templeton – Though my publicist probably will kill me for telling this lol, I’m currently cooking  ” A Lady In The Streets 2″ as we speak and am planning for it to be out by winter of 2020.
