A Maryland man was arrested in Kingston, Jamaica, in connection with a January shooting in Washington, D.C. that killed a Virginia man.

Ranje Reynolds, 24, of Beltsville, was detained on the Caribbean island on Tuesday, according to authorities.

According to police, Reynolds shot and murdered Tarek Boothe, 27, of Alexandria, on January 31 in the 3200 block of M Street in Georgetown after the two men got into a dispute.

Reynolds was apprehended by members of the United States Marshals Service Florida and Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force.
