Baltimore will host a street carnival in the Trinidadian style this summer, the city announced on Wednesday.

Next month, Clifton Park in Northeast Baltimore will play host to the Baltimore/Washington One Caribbean Carnival, a two-day festival. “Spectacular costumes, joyful celebration, and a good splash of foreign flavor” are promised during the event.

Tickets for the festival, which takes place on July 9 and 10, cost $20. Children under the age of 12 can enter for free.

Wednesday morning’s announcement at City Hall featured a performance.

Visit the festival’s Eventbrite page to find out more information and purchase tickets.
