All-star game highlights with Team Steph and team LeBron

The all-star weekend ended off this past Sunday with the anticipated all-star game with team LeBron and team Curry. The goal of this game is for the top players of the west and east conference to play a friendly game of basketball donating a  huge profit to the charity of the captions choice. Team Lebron starters were none other than himself, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, and Russell Westbrook. Team Curry starters were Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeMar DeRozan, Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Steph Curry.  Most players use this game to showcase dunks, alley-oops, test their range, layups and have a chance to play with former teammates such as LeBron with Kyrie and Russell with Durant. Tip-off started with team LeBron controlling the game.
Team Stephen kept the lead in double digits in the first quarter, but with a few switches on the starters; team LeBron ended up coming on to their lead. By the 3rd quarter, team LeBron was only behind by three points. That lead was pushed back to double digits by the start of the fourth. Team LeBron eventually bought team Curry’s lead from double digits to only three points again. Team LeBron held the lead for the last 40 seconds and was up by one when DeMar DeRozan shot 1 for 2 at the free throw line. Last play that capped off the lead for team LeBron was the assist from LeBron James to Russell  Westbrook for an easy layup. The defense turned up on Stephen Curry who everyone knew would have the ball in his hand for the last shot. He was double teamed by Durant and LeBron for the final 5 seconds. Stephen passed the ball to DeMar DeRozan who attempted to make a spin fade on the baseline but the shot clock was at zero before the release causing team LeBron to win 148-145. Lebron not only was able to donate to his favorite charity After-School All-Stars Los Angeles, but he was also named MVP (for the third time) in an all-star game. He was the lead scorer with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. DeMar DeRozan and Damian Lillard tied the lead for team curry with 21 points.
