Mac Miller life can be described as a joy to everybody around him, and making music which touched the lives of billions around the world. We, as a society, forgot that he’s only human and suffers the same pain we do on a daily basis. Depression, anxiety, drug addiction, and loneliness were topics that he discussed during interviews leading up to his eventual overdose. He had millions of people showing appreciating his craft and life through various social media post which included the likes of J. Cole, YG, Chance The Rapper, and many more. However one tweet by UGLY God stood out to me and it shows the ugly truth about the battle against depression Mac Miller was facing.

Many lyrics throughout many of Mac Miller’s songs he spoke about various different topics relating to his death such as how would the weather be, people showing fake love, his escape from his pain, and much more content that we should have realized as fans. We should appreciate the creatives who spend hours entertaining us with timeless music such as Mac Miller did. We also should actually check on are friend’s mental health instead of just posting about doing it on social media. It’s time we make the intuitive to reach out. Every time we lose somebody to a something unfortunate, we mourn for a minute and just ignore the actual underlining issue.  Rest in peace.
