Wale releases new Visuals for “Sue Me”

Published

on

DMV native Wale comes through and delivers a thought-provoking video from his recent single “Sue Me” from his 6th studio album ‘Wow… That’s Crazy”. ”Sue Me” by Wale was already a soul song filled with lyrics that prompt African American athletes, artists, creators, innovators, actors, and actresses. The song may name drop some fashion designers such as Pierce Moss and actress like Taraji P Henson; the video, on the other hand takes a twist. Not so much of a twist but Wale uses the video to create a parallel universe for viewers. The video follows the daily life of a white male but he’s living the life of an African American man.

Throughout the video Wale brings up some events that happen to African Americans daily; racial injustice and the fact in America It feels as though African Americans are considered the other race. In the final scene of the video we see a conversation with the white son and the white in prisoned father having conservation. The father is hopeless of any fair justice in the legal system because of his skin color. Which is something many African American males face because of petty crimes.

The video was very thought-provoking and shout to Wale for attempting to get other races to understand the struggles of African Americans. Great video and even better concept by Wale, but the reality of It that the life many of us African Americans live and even if we continue to show white people how unfair things are, that’s just unfortunately how the system is now until change happens.
