15-year-old arrested in shooting near Nationals Park; Two Teens & Two Adults Shot

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a 15-year-old male has been apprehended and charged in connection with a shooting near Nationals Park on Saturday night that injured two adults and two teenagers.

Officers responded to the gunshot near the 100 block of P Street SW, one block west of Nationals Park, around 11 p.m. Saturday. The incident occurred roughly an hour after the conclusion of the Nationals’ game versus the New York Mets.

According to MPD officials, the victims were two juveniles and two adults. Officers arrived on the scene and discovered a 16-year-old girl with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers then discovered an adult man suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds around the Unit block of Potomac Street SW.

Inside the Navy Yard Metro Station, two more victims, an adult man, and a 17-year-old child were discovered. According to D.C. Fire officials, the victims fled into the station after being shot.

On Sunday, a 15-year-old Temple Hills juvenile male was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
