Friday night around midnight in Loudoun County, Virginia, a car hit a pedestrian, killing him or her.

In a statement, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said that 73-year-old Kenneth Burdette Henderson died after he was hit by a car near where N. Berlin Turnpike and Bavarian Way meet in Lovettsville.

Deputies said that the driver of the car that hit Henderson stayed at the scene of the accident. They also said that the driver was not impaired and that the speed of the car did not matter.

They also said that Henderson was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The crash is still being looked into by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit. Investigator T. Alpy wants anyone with more information to call him at 703-771-1021.
