A Virginia firefighter has been arrested in connection with a structure fire.
A Virginia firefighter has been arrested in connection with a Friday building fire.
Ray Boyd Kerns works with the Woodstock Fire Department. According to the department, he has been suspended since his arrest.
The arrest occurred in connection with a structural fire that erupted on August 12 at 402 W Locust Street. The fire was responded to by more than 20 WFD firemen, as well as other area fire and rescue departments. The incident caused no further structural damage.
WFD has stated that they will fully cooperate with all law enforcement investigations into the event.
