Apple Introduces Apple Intelligence: Their Latest Al System For iPhones

Apple has announced Apple Intelligence, an AI system in iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, revealed at WWDC 2024. Features include Writing Tools for proofreading, rewriting, and summarizing in apps like Notes and Mail. Priority Messages in iMessage and Mail will highlight important notifications and emails. Notes and Phone apps will have audio recording, transcription, and summarization.

Generative AI features include Image Playground for creating images in iMessage and Genmoji for custom emojis. The Photos app will improve search and remove unwanted background objects. Siri will get a more natural and personal update, with options to type requests and better on-screen assistance.

Apple is partnering with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT-4o, allowing Siri to use ChatGPT for more complex inquiries, with user consent required before sharing information.
