A multiple-vehicle collision on a section of Interstate 270 has resulted in several injuries and significant traffic disruptions in Montgomery County. The incident occurred Monday morning on the northbound lanes near Shady Grove Road in Gaithersburg. MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer mentioned the involvement of up to 10 vehicles, with at least one person requiring extraction.
Express lanes were temporarily closed as emergency crews assessed and transported individuals.
