According to authorities, a man was murdered and two women were injured in a shooting at a Virginia mall Saturday evening.

Norfolk police have requested assistance in identifying the two men involved.

Officers were dispatched to MacArthur Center around 6:25 p.m., according to a news release from the department. The women, who were shot in the ankles, were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police Chief Larry Boone informed news agencies that the shooting was the result of a money dispute and that he believed the male victim and the suspect were connected.

Boone said he didn’t know if the two women were related to the shooter or the man who was slain. The victims’ names were not immediately published.

Several area roads were closed while officials investigated. Later Saturday night, police released images of a suspect and a person of interest, requesting the public for assistance in identifying them.
