UNC Safety Myles Wolfolk Transfers to Bowie State University

The Bowie State Bulldogs, the reigning two-time CIAA football champions, have just acquired Myles Wolfolk a graduate safety transferring from the University of North Carolina.

Born in Largo, Maryland, Myles Wolfolk attended Wise High School where he played wide receiver and cornerback. He was named to the First-team All-Metro and first-team all-state at defensive back and was named Rivals Defensive Back of the Year in Maryland.

Coming out of high school, Wolfolk was ranked the No. 14 player in Maryland and the No. 41 cornerback nationally by Rivals.com. He originally committed to Virginia Tech but ultimately deciding to become a Tar Heel signing with the University of North Carolina.

Myles played 19 games with the Tar Heels (including a game in the 2020 season) recording 61 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions, and three passes defended. His best game came against the South Carolina Gamecocks in which he recorded two interceptions in the fourth quarter to help the Tar Heels secure a 24-20 win.

Wolfolk graduated from UNC in December 2019 with degrees in sociology and communications.

Wolfolk will be joining a Bowie State Bulldogs team that have appeared in four of the last five CIAA Championship games winning the last two and have made the Division II playoffs in each of the past three seasons. Last season, the Bulldogs ranked 10th in total points allowed and seventh in points allowed per game in all of Division II.
