Two people were caught in Virginia after speeding 73 mph in a 25 mph zone while driving with two toddlers in the car

Police say a man and a woman drove up to 110 mph in Virginia before colliding with another automobile while two 2-year-old toddlers were inadequately strapped in the vehicle.

On early Saturday morning, a patrol officer from the Front Royal Police Department attempted to stop a speeding car in the 1100 block of John Marshall Highway. According to the officer’s RADAR speed measurement instrument, a silver passenger automobile was traveling 73 mph in a 25 mph zone.

The driver accelerated and went eastbound on John Marshall Highway at speeds in excess of 110 mph while the officer sought to stop the car.

The driver of the vehicle crashed with the rear-end of another car heading eastbound on John Marshall Highway shortly after the pursuit began. The suspect car came to a halt in the 2600 block of John Marshall Highway as a result of the damage and activation of its airbags.

Devin Miales, 24, of Baltimore, Maryland, was recognized as the driver, while Jamiah Mills, 23, of Randallstown, Maryland, was identified as the female passenger.

The two toddlers were transferred to Warren Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment when Warren County Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene. The Warren County Department of Social Services was brought in to help the kids.

A loaded 9mm “ghost gun” and extended magazine were discovered in the glove compartment after further inspection. During the inquiry, many thousand dollars in cash, over 70 capsules of alleged narcotics, and a second firearm magazine were also seized.

Both Miales and Mills were apprehended on the spot and sent to the RSW jail, where they were held without bail.
