On Easter Sunday, a woman was killed in a shooting in Northeast DC

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting in Northeast D.C. on Sunday that left one lady dead.

At around 11:16 a.m., a shooting occurred in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue NE. Officers were dispatched to the reported area after hearing gunshots. They discovered an adult female victim inside a vehicle, unconscious and not breathing, with obvious gunshot wounds when they arrived.

When DC Fire and EMS arrived on the scene, they discovered that the victim showed no signs of life. Tiffany Wiggins, 38, of Southeast D.C. has been named as the suspect.
