Construction worker directing traffic shot in leg in Southeast DC
After being shot while directing traffic in Southeast D.C. overnight, a construction worker was taken to the hospital.
The incident occurred in the 900 block of Howard Road at 1 a.m. on Friday. According to police, the construction worker was directing traffic in the street when he was shot in the leg by a rider on a rented bike.
A coworker attempted to hurry the construction worker to the hospital and was able to call for help from emergency crews.
There have been no arrests. The issue is still being looked into.
