Elementary School Student Faces Disciplinary Action After Alleged Pencil Stabbing Incident
A Charles County elementary school student is under disciplinary scrutiny following allegations of stabbing another student in the neck with a mechanical pencil, as reported by School Resource officers.
The incident, reported to an officer at Indian Head Elementary School on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 1:36 p.m., occurred on the playground when one student suddenly jabbed another student in the neck.
Fortunately, the injured student sustained only minor injuries and received prompt treatment from a school nurse. However, due to the student’s age, they will not face charges under Maryland law. The student will face disciplinary consequences from the school district, as confirmed by officials.
