Maryland State Police Trooper Charged With Unlawful Recording And Misconduct
Maryland State Trooper Jordan Darrell Monk has been indicted in Wicomico County for illegally intercepting oral communication and official misconduct.
According to charging documents, Monk activated a body-worn camera and placed it in the Criminal Enforcement Division office at the MSP Salisbury Barrack without a lawful purpose.
The felony charge of illegal interception carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, while the misconduct charge is a misdemeanor. Monk’s initial court appearance is scheduled for June 21.
