Offensively
Washington QB Jayden Daniels currently has 2,160 total yards and 11 touchdowns, while star WR Terry McLaurin is off to his best season with another starting quarterback. McLaurin has hauled in 40 balls on 57 targets for 579 yards and 4 touchdowns. Also, RB Brian Robinson is having a career year under Kliff’s offense, racking up 461 yards (including a 40-yard run), he is currently averaging 4.6 yards per carry and has a total of 6 touchdowns this year. Jayden Daniels has involved all the active roster players in the offense. Even rookie TE Ben Sinnott caught his first career touchdown from QB Marcus Mariota against the Panthers.
Defensively
Washington did a complete roster haul on both sides of the ball, but it’s very noticeable on the defensive side with the additions of Frankie Luvu, Bobby Wagner, Dante Fowler Jr, etc., while the defense has its ups and downs. There have been games where they’ve put it all together and showed glimpses of pure dominance. Johnny Newton was the key offseason addition via Draft, after the injury to Jon Allen, Newton has filled in perfectly alongside Daron Payne and Phidarian Mathis.
