The Maine Sell Out DC Show Ahead of Joy Next Door Album Release
The Maine continue to gain momentum as they sell out their Washington, D.C. show on April 19. The sold-out date reflects growing excitement around the band’s next chapter and upcoming album, Joy Next Door.
The band—John O’Callaghan, Kennedy Brock, Jared Monaco, Garrett Nickelsen, and Pat Kirch—recently released “Die To Fall,”the first single from their tenth studio album. The album arrives on April 10 and marks a major milestone in the band’s career.
Frontman John O’Callaghan describes “Die To Fall” as a deeply personal reflection. The song explores presence, gratitude, and letting go. It pairs emotional honesty with a high-energy, synth-driven sound. Fans quickly connected with the track, which helped fuel anticipation for the full release.
Joy Next Door stands out for its intentional structure. The band wrote and recorded the album in sequential order. This approach strengthens the storytelling from start to finish. The new era also carries the color green, which represents growth, imperfection, and renewal.

The sold-out DC stop is part of the band’s first headline tour in nearly two years. It is also the largest on-sale tour of their career. The tour begins in March and spans 26 dates across the country. It includes major markets such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Phoenix.
The Maine continue to thrive nearly two decades into their career. They have earned over one billion global streams and built a devoted fanbase known as the 8123 Family. The band has released nine studio albums to date, with several charting on the Billboard 200.
As the Joy Next Door era unfolds, the sold-out DC show signals a strong year ahead. Fans can follow the band’s journey through their website and Instagram for updates on new music and tour dates.
