Always Been For The People.

The world as we know it is in serious chaos as peaceful protests and or riots submerge the streets. All caused by the recent lynching’s of Amaud Arbery, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor due to either a racist act and or police brutality. Meanwhile in the mist of the uproar, certain celebrities/artists have came forward to either help fight the cause or show their true colors to world, and as far as I know, everyone knows who they are. But I would like to highlight a specific being that has been in countless controversy but claims that he has always fought for the black community. The icon, Kanye West. Now, all though we all called ourselves so called canceling him because of his past actions of the “slavery is a choice” comment and wearing of the MAGA hat in the white house, he once again proves that he is for his people. Recently, he has donated multimillions of dollars as relief to the families of Arbery, Floyd, and Taylor. As well as covering legal fees for both Arbery and Taylor’s family, covering college tuition for George Floyd’s daughter, and lastly helping aid black businesses in Chicago that are in financial despair. Even though he has not been as vocal as many of his celebrity peers, he once again shows that he is amongst his people wanting to see a change. Should he still be canceled? Personally, I think not. But furthermore, I am excited to see who else takes a stand against a fight that is far from being over.
