Pryce Jones is a New York rapper who moved to Virginia as a teenager. Pryce started battle rapping in high school and doing local shows which grabbed the attention of manager Miguel Solano. Later, he released his first solo mixtape titled The Pryce Of Fame in 2016. He has also served as an A&R executive for Wealth Nation Entertainment and later an executive producer for his TV series entitled “Out the Mud” with film producer Charles H. Wonsey.
Who are some of your musical influences?

My musical influences are 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Jim Jones, Diddy & LL Cool J.

What sparked your interest in making music?

I started off just wanting the lifestyle of an artist. The road, the way of living, and also, I grew around music with my grandma listening to the O’Jays and other musicians which caused me to fall in love with music.

Tell me about your musical journey how has your style and sound changed over the years?

To be honest, when I first started off recording I thought I was wack lol. But the support from my peers and classmates, it pushed me to keep going & from there I developed my own sound.

Name ten artists you want to work with

Jay-Z, 50Cent, Lil Uzi Vert, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jhené Aiko, Usher, and Miley Cyrus.

You seem to do it all!  You are an Artist, Screenwriter, and Entrepreneur. Have you felt as though you reached success?

I feel as though I would never feel as if I’ve reached success until I can move my immediate family out of the hood and they don’t have to want for anything.

If you could only pick one passion to have a career in, which would it be and why?

Screenwriting & Executive Producing. I feel like you won’t be a “popping artist” forever but people will always watch TV & movies.

Congratulations to being an executive producer on an upcoming show “Out the Mud” can you tell us more about this project and where the idea came from?

. “Out the Mud” it’s basically about a young good dude from South Central LA that’s forced into the life of crime due to the circumstances life throws at him. He has a little brother to take care of on his own because of his mother battle w/ cancer. So, he chooses to hit the street & earn fast money w/ his childhood friend. In the mist of that, he whines up falling for a girl whose dad is an undercover crooked cop & the cop whines up putting him on organized crime.

What is some advice you would want to give to a young artist trying to find their big break?

Never give up keep pushing no matter your circumstances or what people tell you, you any do.

What other projects can we expect from you this year?

I’m currently working on my new mixtape “Reasons”

Any shoutouts?

I want to shout out DMV daily for giving me this opportunity, I want to shout out my supporters & I definitely want to give a shout out to everybody that been helping me with my journey in my career!
