From New York to the World: Da YoungFellaz Continue Building Through Lyricism, Culture, and Consistency

Published

on

New York hip-hop has long been a birthplace for artists who understand the importance of storytelling, authenticity, and reinvention. Carrying that tradition into a new era is Da YoungFellaz, the dynamic duo made up of Jay Storm and Sho-Biz, two artists whose roots stretch from The Bronx and Brooklyn — two boroughs that helped shape the very foundation of hip-hop culture.

Built on chemistry, lyricism, and versatility, Da YoungFellaz have created a lane that refuses to be boxed in. Their music reflects both the classic and evolving sides of hip-hop, blending elements of boom-bap, trap, and R&B while maintaining a sharp focus on bars and substance. Their ability to move across sounds without losing identity has become one of their strongest trademarks.

Over time, the duo has steadily built a reputation not only through records but through live performances as well. Da YoungFellaz have taken their energy to stages across the United States and internationally, connecting with audiences beyond their New York origins and proving that authentic artistry still translates everywhere.

Their momentum has also been reinforced through a growing list of major platform co-signs and media placements. Songs like “SYRUP” and “FEEL THE WAY I DO” earned premieres through Charlie Sloth’s legendary Fire In The Booth platform on Apple Music, introducing their sound to a wider audience and placing them in a respected lineage of artists who have used the platform to showcase their talent.

The duo also brought their lyricism directly to radio audiences with a live freestyle premiere on Shade 45 through SiriusXM, a major moment that highlighted the raw ability and performance presence they have become known for.

Their catalog continued expanding through records that connected them with notable names in hip-hop. “Goat Talk” featuring UFO FEV found a home on Shade 45, while “NBA Jam” featuring Smoke DZA earned placements through Apple Music, Spotify playlists, and radio support — further reinforcing their growing footprint across multiple platforms.

Da YoungFellaz later reached another milestone with Even Exchange – EP, which received a premiere from Ebro Darden on his Apple Music radio show. For independent artists, moments like these often represent more than exposure — they serve as validation that the work is reaching influential ears while opening doors to larger conversations.

As hip-hop continues to evolve, Da YoungFellaz stand out because of their balance. They carry the hunger and lyricism associated with New York’s past while understanding the sounds and versatility required in today’s landscape. Rather than chasing trends, Jay Storm and Sho-Biz continue building through consistency and genuine artistry.

For Da YoungFellaz, the mission appears simple: represent where they come from, evolve with every release, and continue proving that substance and style can exist in the same space.

And with a resume already filled with major premieres, co-signs, and performances, their story may still only be getting started.
